Pretty deep in a NLHE tourney on stars and I crash. Not sure whats going to happen, but if I get blinded out I'll be upset. Party seems to be down as well.

Stars is down for me. I was dominating an SnG as well. I know the Party procedure, but what is Stars' policy when this happens?

Re: Pokerstars down?

yeah party shure is down - I just won a NL sng tourney because the other player was blinded out. I was in big chips lead though so I had probably won anyway. Waited for him as long as my clock alowed it though. Couldnt do much about it. They should hold the game when such a breakdown is upcoming.

What's party's procedure? In the middle of SnG when crashed. Thanks

Party, ub, and Paradise are all down! Ladbrokes is up and
running, but that's no solace for American players!

Half of the money from those eliminated divided equally amongst remaining players, other half divided according to chips by %

Re: Pokerstars down?

why would they all be down at the same time? Do they all share bandwidth or a server somewhere? Or should we freak out that the feds are cracking down... I was doing well in a UB tourney - what will they do if it gets cancelled?

Re: Pokerstars down?

What is the procedure at Party I was Heads up in a SnG with 80% of the chips when all went quiet.

I think PS must have botched their broadcast of the World Cup from the cruise and messed up the server most of the gambling sites use. They immediately removed those games from the WPT section on their site, and were just recently trying to put them back on right before the 5PM starting time.

Doesn't this mean that you could potentially win MORE than you ever could in the tournament?

e.g.

Down to two players in a party SnG ($10+1) , one player has 99% of the chips.

of the remaining $80 ($20 to the already eliminated 3rd place) first place would get 50% of $40 and 99% of $40 = $60

nice.

(in fact when party went down just now I was in (almost) this situation, only I worked it out - I am due $50.05 - yes!!!! an extra $.05!!!)

tim

p.s.: how long does it take to put the money back in your account?

Re: Pokerstars down?

Re: Pokerstars down?

stars is OK for me now though the WPT broadcast is still a no go.

Re: Pokerstars down?

PokerStars was not down. I was in a SNG and about half the players got "disconnected" while the rest of us could still play. The system added a whole lot of time to the disconnected players, so they only missed a few hands.

Re: Pokerstars down?

What is this broadcast thing that is supposedly about to begin?

goodguy_1 01-23-2004 09:34 PM

Re: Pokerstars down?

your connection to Stars may be avoiding the usual route that players to the south use those avoiding the hub that was under duress.

Anybody know ip addresses to any of the Big 4's game servers...or at least an ip to a KGC website may be as close as you can get.the game server ip's are heavily guarded...since must of these game servers are housed at KGC-right??
If we could get a valid ip for any game server we could easily see where the congestion is by doing a traceroute to that ip.

but 2+2 was down also-so that tells me this was not just one or 2 servers somwhere in KGC-Land/canada.

Another person at my table, not affected by the routing problems, said he was in Argentina.
