Reggie Bush

It is unfair to the other team to have to play against this guy. Discuss. |
Re: Reggie Bush
only 2 more college teams have to deal with it
also Pete Carroll makes it easy on opposing defenses by giving half of his carries to White |
Re: Reggie Bush
I know you cant compare Barry Sanders 1988 season to Reggie Bush's 2005, Sanders had alot more carries.
Players like Reggie Bush dont come around very often. He has a chance to score every damn time he touches the ball, and it's not fair. Sanders was the best college running back Ive ever seen, and Bush isn't far behind. |
Re: Reggie Bush
He's already my favorite NFL player even though he hasn't been drafted yet. And I'm come from a UCLA family . . . Can't discriminate when a player is that good.
|
Re: Reggie Bush
he most reminds me of marshall. i used to stay up late and sneak downstairs just to watch sdsu games.
bush is unreal. i would draft him |
Re: Reggie Bush
[ QUOTE ]
he most reminds me of marshall. [/ QUOTE ] Me too. I remember how great Marshall was in college, and he dominated in a similar manner. The only thing... Bush is even better! And Marshall is a legit hall of famer. Barry Sanders in college is a bit before my time, so I cant really comment there. It is a little unfair that USC has such a weapon. Even though I was cheering for Fresno St last night (I want LSU in the national championship game!), I could not help but awe at some of the runs this kid pulled off. He might be to the NFL what Jordan was to the NBA. He COULD be that dominant. (Don't want to be premature here though -- especially in the dangerous and injury prone NFL.) |
Re: Reggie Bush
I'm not completely sold on him taking the NFL by storm. I love his open field moves, but its a lot tougher to get into the open field in the NFL than in college.
I'm also not a fan of him always carrying the ball in his right hand, especially when he is running down the left sideline, but I'm pretty sure that an NFL coach will get him cured of that bad habit. |

Re: Reggie Bush
Is he big enough to be an every-down back in the NFL? I tend to think of him more as a WR than RB.
And I am not hating on him, he is one of (if not the) greatest talents I have ever seen in CF. |
Re: Reggie Bush
I think he is expected to be a top 5 pick at RB. He is strong and lays hat occasionally.

Vince Young has had an awesome year, but Bush has already won the trophy.

Re: Reggie Bush
Reggie Bush is great. I'll give him the trophy too, but VY is an excellent choice as well.
But let's not get too excited about the 294 and 500+ from Saturday night. He was playing Fresno State! Also, if USC and Texas hang on, Texas will win by 3+ TDs. If USC loses, we'll have a ball game between Texas and PSU. |

I think he is expected to be #1 overall. [/ QUOTE ] |
Re: Reggie Bush
513 all purpose yards in one game? just give him the [censored] trophy now. and this is coming from someone who thought leinart was the conservative lock a month ago.

[/ QUOTE ] All purpose yards are so skewed. He had a great day rushing, but for some reason the media feels the need to inflate his stats by going with the all purpose yards. None of his returns was even remotely impressive, but when you have 7 kickoff returns, you are going to seriously inflate your all purpose yards. Yards from scrimmage should be the number that people are talking about. |

Re: Reggie Bush
Texas 63
USC 41 |
Re: Reggie Bush
Texas 63????
They aren't playing Baylor. |
Re: Reggie Bush
Well, we just saw USC hold the powerful Fresno State offense to 42, so yeah, they will probably hold Texas to 3.
|
Re: Reggie Bush
If you are so confident, we can bet an over under on Texas scoring 45 or more points. I, of course, will take the under.
If the game goes to OT, only regulation time points count. The only reason why Fresno scored so many is because USC could march down the field in 2 minutes against them, and give them the ball back. That won't happen against Texas. |
Re: Reggie Bush
That and they always score a lot.

[/ QUOTE ] A worse Texas team got beat up by a WSU team that wasn't nearly as good as this USC team. From observations: This year's Texas team is obviously better than that team but not by the margin by which USC is better than that WSU team, which is A LOT. If whoever USC plays keeps it within single digits, I'll be impressed. Plus- Mac Brown still coaches Texas right? |

Re: Reggie Bush
I think USC this year has had a pretty large drop. The defense just wasn't what it was last year and the year before, though Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart have improved (and the addition of LenDale White doesn't hurt).
Texas has gone berserk ever since the OSU game. They haven't won by less than 20 points. I think Texas wins this game, though it's close. |
Re: Reggie Bush

Re: Reggie Bush
It's funny how after the Texas game Vince Young might have had pipe dreams about winning the Heisman. Then Reggie suited up.
|
Re: Reggie Bush
What first half. Leinert sucks today so good thing Bush is firing on all cylinders.
|
Re: Reggie Bush
He runs like he's playing Quiditch.
|
Re: Reggie Bush
Is there any odds on a sportsbook site to say Reggie Bush is on EA NCAA 2007 video game cover?
|
Re: Reggie Bush
It will be Leinart.

Is he big enough to be an every-down back in the NFL? [/ QUOTE ] Meh, nothing a good cycle of steroids with intense weight training won't solve. He'll have months to pack on a bunch of meat. He'll easily pack on another 20 pounds of muscle before the new NFL season. |
