Poker on Cruise Ships
I'm 5 months away from my Cardplayer Cruise, and I was snooping around the Carnival site. I happen to come across this and thought I'd pass the link along.

Re: Poker on Cruise Ships
Interesting out of the four ships Carnival ship that two of them are rather old and small compared to the rest of the ships.
I wish the Miracle had a Poker Lounge as I will be going on it in August. |

I definitely would be interested in cruising more if they added poker rooms on all their ships. I might make a phone call to Carnival in a few days just to get more info. If I do, I'll post the results here. Joe |
Re: Poker on Cruise Ships
I cruised on the Grand Princess in February and they had a poker room. They had 1/2, 2/4, 3/6, 4/8 and tournaments.

Re: Poker on Cruise Ships
I was just wondering the same thing. Judging by the price of alcohol and the awful rules at every game in the casino I would assume it would be something like %10 with a max of anywhere from $6-$8.

[/ QUOTE ] I've never been on a cruise ship with poker but I imagine they would keep the same hours that the casino does. The casino can only be open when the ship is in international water. |
Re: Poker on Cruise Ships
Your best bet is to go on one of the specified Card-player cruises (and there's another company that does poker-cruises I think).
Unless you want to play 3/6 with slow dealers who don't know poker. The Card-player dealers are pretty good...and obviously you're on a cruise with other poker players so there will be more games. Don't be deceived by the fact that it's a poker-cruise though...I suspect the play is just as fishy as anywhere else even if it's not the PPM cruise-full-o-online-qualifiers. |
