Player thrown out for B.O.

I was playing 20/40 yesterday at the casino in Brantford Ontario. One of the players, an older Greek gentleman, was thrown out of the room because he smelled. He was advised to "go home, have a shower and come back".

Has anyone ever seen anything like this before?

I thought it hilarious except that man was playing loosely and poorly and had donated many dollars to the rest of the table.

I was thinking about this in mentally framing a response to someone else's question about "morality" at the table. I decided not to post after all (the only "immoral" thing you can do at a poker table is break a rule) when this occurred to me. While it is a rule that I'm guessing is only very rarely enforced, it is still a good rule. Hygiene and common courtesy might be fairly subjective but as a player I appreciate any and all attempts by the management to enforce either or both of them.

Dang, I wish they'd do it more often. I have played against some real Stinky Pete's.

I know you aren't shy about bringing things to the attention of the floor. When someone smells complain to the floor. It is pretty normal for them to send the offender to the showers.

I shower daily but have actually cotemplated purposely not showering before major tournaments (such as WSOP), in hopes that my BO would prevent the others at the table from playing their top game. However, I would be way too embarresed to actually go through with something like that, thoughts???

I piss in a cup while playing online poker and I would never do this.

I was playing at the Taj once when a man walked by my table, smelling bad enough that a nearby floorwoman actually threw up in a garbage can.

Years ago in Tucson there was a player who would
defecate while sitting at the table. Got tossed
from the club after a few times......

There is a regular at NYPC who BRAGS about this. He is gay, and talks about having prostrate problems due to anal sex. Aparently he has loose movements while sitting at the table, and talks about it openly (and loudly). He offers to show people his dipers all the time.

Oh... and it sometimes works, he puts people on tilt easily when playing NL. NASTY & Annoying but Genious!

Re: Player thrown out for B.O.

(Apologies in advance, as I'm sure that I must have posted this story before, back in the good old days, before the dawn of televised poker.)

I was playing $3-6 at the Mirage one day, and I was KILLING the game. At one point, I won a huge pot that busted three people.

The brush immediately sent over three replacements--and one of them stunk so bad, I decided to quit the game. I couldn't tell which player it was (they were all at the far end of the table), so I couldn't say anything. I just started racking my chips.

Another player remarked that she was surprised to see me leaving while on such a hot streak.

"I don't want to leave," I said in a voice loud enough for all to hear, "but somebody here STINKS so badly, I can't stand it!"

The dealer, who was fanning her face with the cut card at that moment, looked at me and said, "What do you think *I'm* going through right now?"

I racked up and left, and the cashier commented on my big win (an obvious attempt at a toke). I mentioned that I was driven away from the table by a stinker. She told me I should get the floorperson. I didn't. But she did.

As I was leaving, I saw the floorlady giving the heave-ho to our smelly friend (who LOOKED clean--I guess his culture eats different food that sends different smells shooting out of his pores).

Anyway, my point was that the Mirage acted quickly and decisively when made aware of the problem.

Lucky for me I moved out of Vegas. I'd see more sweaty, stinky people in a summer month there than I've seen in five years down here in MS.

wow offers to show do you have to pay a buck or something ?
dude does anyone start prop bets such as
1) over under when his spincher will let loose a pile o sh#t?
2) the over under in weight of diaper after said poop
3) by the aroma the first person to name what the dude had to eat in the past 24 hours... of course the poop guy would have ot write this down pre poop to insure integrity

Does any ask him what types of adult diapers work best?
i am still amazed depends and the jets dont team up... as you walk into a football gme after 5 hours of tailgating what more can you want then a adult diaper so you can watch the game without those anying pee distractions
