How much would a good player\'s hourly rate be at $2-$4?

I've heard of the classic "one big bet per hour." Although I know people that make far more and far less than this amount.

How much per hour should an above average, tight player make at $2-$4 limit hold'em online?

I am just trying to gauge how much a good player is expected to make online. I'm sure it varies greatly. If anyone has put in hours at $3-$6, $4-$8, or $5-$10 limit hold'em, it would be greatly appreciated if you'd post your hourly rates too. Thank you.

I've made $4.64/hr single tabling 2/4 for 51 hours.
I've made $80.16/hr single tabling 3/6, but I've only done it for 10 hours. I don't expect anything close to that rate to continue.

8-tabling 2/4 I make $48 an hour. Err..made, this downswing has significantly brought that number down.

Really? Worse than Party? I always thought Party had the best low limit games around but I haven't played elsewhere.

Minimum wage/table hour would be pretty good.

Unless you mean above average for a winning player, I'd say a couple of bucks.

I dont understand how any site can be any fishier than others unless they limit their games quite a bit and make micro players play 1/2 and 2/4. Kinda like how truepoker and the crypto's used to be.

Plus these numbers are pretty low to me. a 4 tabling 2bb/100 at full ring can make theoretically 10 bucks an hour, 6 max and less is more like $20. But it seems OP's question is results oriented. you can figure these numbers on an average...but no poker player here or anywhere makes even close to an equal amount an hourly basis.

I 4-6 table and make ~$12/hr plus RB plus bonus. I have faith that I can up this rate by paying more attention and studying more.

In the case of Party I would suspect that it is because of their aggressive advertising. Ask any poker beginner what poker site they know heard of and most would say Party.

I have played 28,000 hands of 2/4 this year two or three tabling.
Winrate is 0.80bb/100.

I have played 12,000 hands of 1/2 this year two or three tabling.
Winrate is 1.86bb/100.

I responded because I think I am a 'good' player. Not great. Not very good. Better than average? Yes.

I'm at about 1.5 BB/hr per table while playing between 4-6 tables of 2/4. I'm sure others have done better.

(~240 hand per hour 4 tabling)(3.6bb per 100)($4bb)
100

over ~34k hands at 2/4

(240)(3.6)(4)

=~$34.5 per hour

As a bonus chaser, I play just about all the networks and there are very, very noticeable differences in game types. My pokertracker stats confirm this. For instance, the saw flop % on 2/4 games this month at pokerroom is 24%. (This is over 10k hands looking for the best tables at peak times.) Absolute full ring is even worse. Do you see that on party, Paradise, Pacific?

That damn split brought more games to the other sites, but many, many more disgruntled multi-tablers play.

When I grin and bear playing Pacific, I look for full ring games over 40%. On Party 2/4 or 5/10, I look for 28%. Party 3/6, I look for anything over 20%

You can go into the session notes tab of Pokertracker and it will tell you exactly what your hourly rate is.

Takes out the guesswork.

$38 ph sounds great; but given the huge rake at 2/4, (almost) no-one can make 2.4BB/hr 4 tabling.

I'm about to move up. I should have moved up a long, long time ago but I'm just so comfortable at 2/4. Stay at 2/4 long enough at you'll be beating it for as much.

Are you playing 6 max or full? If full, 4BB/100 4 tabling is just not achievable (IMHO) longterm, however long I, or almost anyone, was to play it.

I have read posts in the Mid-High forum that suggest a good 30/60 player would not be able to achieve this, given the rake.

Pacific gets most of their advertising from casinos, if you play 3-6 in a real casino and suck, then go home and stake yourself online, and you're a fish who doesnt care about money, you gonna play at the casnio limits or the wimpy $.5-$1?

130k hands I averaged 4.2BB/100 8 tabling, but we've been over this before. I am positive that 3.5/100 is possible in the games - retroactively to early 2005 I suppse.

Re: How much would a good player\'s hourly rate be at $2-$4?

So there's quite a range of win rates here.

Let me make it easier to view:

Limit $2-$4
Name Per hr per table Hours Played # Tables

TomBrooks
$4.64
51
1
Cumolonimbus
$6
?
8
silkyslim
~$2-$4 (unsure)
?
4-6
Ianco
$9.60
142
4

Limit $3-$6
Name Per hour Hours Played
dchild10 $9 ?

Is that about right? Most of you are making at least one big bet per hour, or much more. Ianco, that is a very good winrate.

It's true. Pacific is a money mountain. The players are drunken maniacs and it's almost scary what they do. Too bad you can only play one table at a time there.
