Coming back from Iraq, whats the scene like in AC these days?

I've been away from AC for a while, serving in the army in iraq for the past year, and i'm about to come back in another month or so. Where are the good 10-20 games now? I used to play mostly at the borgata, b/c i loved the atmosphere, but i've played extensively everywhere(i only live an hour and a half from AC). I also have a lot of fun playing live tournaments. I can look up the schedules online, but how are the turnouts? And what's the level of play like these days?
Also, i've heard there are some new/expanded cardrooms, too. Any and all comments are welcome, i'm just trying to get back in the loop.

Thanks to All,

borgata 10/20 is still good i think (although i've moved on to 20/40 which is almost as good as the 10/20) and that's really the only place i play so i can't speak on any other casinos.

welcome home!

There are some more small card rooms, more places have tournaments and 1/2 NL.

For 10/20 holdem, it's about the same, Borgata or Taj and Tropicana weekend nights. Since there are a lot a new card rooms, there is less wait for games at Borgata.

Seriously, to your tourney questions, the turnouts are pretty solid at the Taj and Borg. dailys, esp. weekends... some of the others are still stuggling (last time I went to the trop their saturday was low, but that may have changed...) Tourney play level: Wow. I'd say you're at 50% donk, 50% feesh. The 300 on Saturday night at the taj is mostly weak-tight, and I've heard the Borg Sunday morning, which has pretty slow blinds for a daily, is an allin fest.

Hows that game at rec center? I may swing by if its juicy enough!

As far as tournaments are concerned, Taj has twice daily $100-300 freezeouts, with big turnouts that their big rooms can accomadate. Borgata has a $40 rebuy in the morning a $60 rebuy in the evening and a $500 freezeout on Fridays. Tropicana has daily rebuys or freezeouts that sell out early. Showboat has twice daily $50 slow structure and no ante with a fairly small tournament. Caesars has daily very fast structure (blinds generally double every level and ante is 1/2 of SB, so you may have four players allin preflop), bad players, and low turnout tournaments. Harrahs has 3 a week $100-$500 buyin slow structure, small turnout. Sands has 4 a week freezout or rebuys. Ballys has 2 a week freezeout no ante.

I don't really notice big differences in the level of players in the tournaments. Most of them aren't very good. Rebuys attract more aggressive players than freezeouts, but the play in general is less wild and more weak/tight than online. In the $200-$500 tournaments, you have some grinder pros, but some of the fish are just as fishy as lower levels.

Borgata, Taj, and others have major tournaments with various side events and supersatllites.

In general, the tournament action has picked up since you were gone.

Welcome back.
