The Pokerroom Bonus

Can someone please check my math on this.

You receive .07 player points for every .10 in rake. Assuming a ten handed table and a clearance rate of 7x, this bonus basically gives you all of your rake back and nothing more. Correct?

does one player point =$1.00?

Re: The Pokerroom Bonus

7 PP = $1

Re: The Pokerroom Bonus

i think you are correct that this is basicaly giving you your rake back.

7PP=$1
.07x100=7
100 hands x .10c in rake = $10 total rake
$10 total rake / 10 players = $1.00 you contributed

Re: The Pokerroom Bonus

It isn't all the rakeback if your rake is over a dollar, correct? I thought the maximum player points per hand is 1.

Their rake structure is terrible btw.

Re: The Pokerroom Bonus

the PR bonus is indeed 100% rakeback at all limits. on their last player points adjustment, they began to award up to 2.1 points for a max $3 rake, as well as fractional dollars. so while the rake structure is crappy, as long as you have a bonus running, it'll all funnel back to you in the end.

Re: The Pokerroom Bonus

Unless if I am missing something, this is assuming that you are sitting at a full table. If the table goes down to 5 or 6 handed, then it would be less than 100% rakeback. Is this not correct?

I disagree with this. This last bonus it took me 1050 hands at 2-4 to clear the $100. That's better than 9 cents a hand. Not the best but not bad.

this are only 5-handed short tables on pokerroom network, so that would be 50% rakeback.

Re: The Pokerroom Bonus

Now, I'll have to check my sources on this, but I am pretty sure that a game can get short without sitting at a fancy "short-handed table". The typical bonus paid out would probably be between 70-80% rakeback, assuming the player plays only full tables AND has the stomach to finish clearing the bonus with their crappy-ass software.

Only if you play low limits. They're gearing their rake and bonuses to favour higher limits. Time to leave the kiddie pool.

You must have missed the point of this entire thread.

The bonus is only 100% RB at all levels. You will only clear it faster at the higher levels because you are paying that much more in rake.

The bonus cleared very satisfactorily at 2/4, so it's very good depending on what limits you play.
