I think there's a good chance you're getting raised if you bet the turn, simply b/c it looks like a very fishy bet.

I'm in table 48. Been a good night so far, up to 4K in the $100 NL, and won a $50 SNG waiting for this to start.

Well,

I'm out already. Lost a 2800 pot with KK against AK all in preflop and the very next hand I flopped a set of deuces and lost to a set of 9s to forfeit my remaining 450 chips.

Good luck guys.

I only have t1090. I'm at the worst table ever. The play is excruciatingly slow.

Chief911 11-04-2004 11:54 PM

Re: Super Thursday Official Thread

825. Very FISHY table, that has been argueing the entire time. Unfortunately, I have had ZERO cards to take advantage.

Also lost early in my $100+9 multi.

I had 22, flop comes KK5 2 clubs... checked around... turn= 2 3 clubs... opp bets pot, I repot it... he calls... river comes Q of clubs... he pushes and turns over KQo .

t1125 at the break.
maybe i play too tight in these? i dunno.

davidross 11-05-2004 12:02 AM

1063 1st break

HAd KK twice, but couldn't get anyone to play.

Lloyd 11-05-2004 12:04 AM

Re: 1665 1st break

1665 @ Table 28 Magic Pig

Since my early on 4 of a kind I've only been in a couple of hands - KK and JJ where I got one caller and nothing else (won both) and AK where I got two callers but missed the flop and mucked.

Buy-in or qualify?

Do most people buy-in or qualify through a satelite?

Matt24 11-05-2004 12:05 AM

Re: 1063 1st break

2095 at break, but had a monster misplay or just bad luck. Had TT in mp. UTG a huge stack raises it up to 120, I call.

Flop T72 2 spades, he checks, I check, dumbass me slowplaying

Turn 8 of Spades: he checks, I bet pot, he calls

River 4 of spades: He checks, I check, he has KK no spade. I win pot. But if I bet the flop, I think he pushes back for sure, or at least I have a few more chips either way.

Matt24 11-05-2004 12:07 AM

Re: Buy-in or qualify?

Ive been qualifying. The most it has cost me to get in a tourney the last 2 weeks is $44, which doesnt mean it always takes me under 2 trys, , but the other times I have 2nds mixed in which are a little profit.

mistaken 11-05-2004 12:08 AM

Re: 1063 1st break

better than getting someone to play and losing, like I did. (all in preflop against AK)

davidross 11-05-2004 12:15 AM

I\'m out

I raise JJ from SB, BB goes all in. I call, he has K4??? FLops a 4 and rivers another, I'm down to 240.

I push in with KT after 4 limpers, called by AK, flop a straight, then watch a T river to give him a higher straight. I hate poker.

Lost half my chips in the $100 NL too, below average now with 88 left, 50 get paid. Keep raising good hands and getting re-raised and have to lay it down.

Tyler Durden 11-05-2004 12:15 AM

Re: 1063 1st break

Blinds 25/50, I get QQ in the cutoff.

LP opens to 100. I make it 450 (I have 1100 to start the hand). He calls (he had 1900 to start). We go heads up. Flop J-9-5 rainbow. He bets out 200, I raise all-in for 450 more, he calls w/ K9s, turn is a King and I'm out.

Grrr.

Good luck.

Lloyd 11-05-2004 12:19 AM

Re: Buy-in or qualify?

I qualify as well. Never costs me more than 2 or 3 entries.

And I'm done with tonight. Just a horrible table. I think having the PPM IV going on really changed this one.

4 limpers and I have AK on the button and raise it to T300 (blinds at T50) - two callers. I miss on the flop but it's ragged and checked around. I bet the turn feeling pretty confident I have the best hand and I get one caller on a gut shot. River doesn't make the straight but pairs him. He says that "he wanted to go to bed". Right, he'd been a fish all night and got lucky. Whatever. It happens.

davidross 11-05-2004 12:26 AM

Re: Super Thursday Official Thread

I don't think it's possible to play too tight in these. Just stay alive until the blinds are meaningful, and then play good poker.

Chief911 11-05-2004 12:26 AM

Re: Buy-in or qualify?

Get out the straw and start sucking. I play my 2nd hand of the tourney, and get it allin with TT, called by KK, and a T on the turn starts the fun.

Up to 1910.

Nick

I'm done. Pushed into a couple limpers with A9, and a sneaky limper with QQ called me, and away I go. Good luck everyone.

7775 with 67 left. Avg at 8400. At table 1 an dim the 3rd biggest stack there, pretty lucky in that regard, one table has 8 people bigger.

out in 42nd. Folded to me in the cutoff with AJs. Blinds 400/800. I have 5300 and push, and button wakes up with AK. Ace comes, but no jack or hearts and I'm gone.

They're down to 9, he's at 33K with avg at 63. Just lost with JJ vs AKs to a rivered K, that would've put him at 110K and being 2nd of 8 left.

doh.

Rakkad now at 93k when his AQs hit quads against 66 allin preflop

I almost always buyin to whatever tourny i play, that being said however, I also usually have a good shot of reaching a high payout. I dont like spending time in PP sng qualifiers but thats just me.

Re: Buy-in or qualify?

Was watching from 6 handed down, good job Rakkad. Im surprised you couldnt push that guy off his aces

I thought you were stealing with just the right frequency and you outlasted a couple bigger or tied chipstacks to get 3rd. I thought the funniest hand was the guy (2nd or 3rd in chips) limping from UTG with KK to get busted by the BB 94o flopped 2 pair.

That was probably the best you could do out of position.
