Sounds like a rough day at the tables. It's probably better that you leave poker altogether if you don't have the nerve to get yourself through it or the drive to learn to deal with it. Good luck to you whatever you do from here on.

i doubt very much that your results were caused by rigged games.
If you can't accept responsibility for your results, retiring is the smartest thing to do.

Al

Re: I am making my formal retirement from poker.

True Fact: over 90 of 100 poker players are lifetime losers. Although, no, the game is not rigged, statistics like this are a bit daunting to say the least. If you feel you are in the "over 90" group, retiring might be the best option. (I, of course, hope you reconsider )

gl in whatever you do and wherever you go, just remember we're always willing to welcome back a retiree to the tables. Especially one who thinks the game is rigged.

I agree 100%

Poker is rigged in both casino and online games. The house takes a percentage known as a rake from each pot played. This is money that goes to the house not back to the players. This gives the house an edge in a game in which they have zero risk; this is a very good deal for them. As a player, one must be able to win enough from the game to make up for this rake and show a profit. If a player is unable to show a profit, eventually the rake will beat him and destroy his bankroll.

Good luck,

Fitz

Hi PackerFan22:

One thing for sure, poker is not right for everyone. If that's the case with you, then stopping is the best thing you can do.

Also, I have found it beneficial to take a little break every now and then, so perhaps you might be back.

best wishes,
Mason
