Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
Could be a Swede in there!
But I really do hope we won't have to see Laak. |
Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
Brunson will win it. Which one is IKU?

Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
What made Doyle change his mind to play AQ nowadays? I've seen him play it a lot lately, but it used to be a hand he would never play.

Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
Alright! Gigabet has made the WPT final table!

Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
First of all, if it's suited he'll play it as he would any suited ace. Secondly, if it figures to be the best hand I'm sure he'll play, especially in a tournament. Maybe he won't play it so much in a ring game.

Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
Go Gigabet!
|
Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
I'd think Giga would have to like his seat here too, with position on Laak and Brunson.
Does anyone know anything about Pedersen? Never heard of him before this week. |
Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
is gigabet the guy who posted all his theories on the site a few months ago?
|
Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
I'm hoping that Giga makes some really outlandish play and Sexton spends the rest of the broadcast talking about how much he hates it.

Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
Antonius really should get some credit eventho most people knows him as internet player. Early this year he was 12th and 15th in two WPT events, cashed three times WSOP (don't know how many events he played, not many I think). Then he came 3rd in EPT Barcelona for $145,068 and while ago won EPT Baden for $343,366.

Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
WPT knows people are tired of broadcasts with 6 amateurs. If they have pros, even internet pros at the final table why would they downplay it? I think Giga and IKU should get recognition.

Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
You're all forgetting that the WPT really isn't poker, so anything the commentators say can be entirely ignored.

You're all forgetting that the WPT really isn't poker, so anything the commentators say can be entirely ignored. [/ QUOTE ] If you're referring to the huge blinds a lot of the WPT events have at the final table, this one should be a little different - the players have anywhere from 30 to 60 BBs, depending on their stack, and there are no real short stacks at the table. Should be a decent amount of play (relatively speaking) for a WPT Final table, at least initially. I'm not sure who this really benefits though, and all six competitors appear to be very good tourney players, at least from my limited knowledge about them. |
Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
Zee,
No limit Texas Hold Em is the Cadillac of poker. Doyle Brunson says the key to no limit is to put a player to a decision for all his chips. |
Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV
I think it should make great TV. You have the drama of Brunson playing the two young Internet stars. You have Laak in his unabomber costume. You have a woman and two Europeans. Plus they are all real strong players.
