\"not available\"

Why do some players on empire have their city of origin listed as "not available"? Is there a setting for this withing the software, or did these guys simply not provide the data to empire?

Thanks

Re: \"not available\"

They are playing on one of the skins that still allows you to set N/A as your origin. Or it is not set at all and N/A is the default display.

at least it's not as spooky as "Undisclosed" on the Crypto skins or just "-" on Boss Media/IPN.

All Eurobet players are listed as "not available". I think this is a great feature since I live in a small town with a unique name. Changing table-name doesn't help much when I'm the only player from Bentdick!

Also, when a new account is set up, it takes some time before the City becomes available. I recently set up a new empire account, and for the first 3-4 days of the account, the location was listed as Not Available even though my information was in the system.

Re: \"not available\"

i played a party-only single-table satellite tourney today and one of my opponents was Not Available.

Previous to that I had always thought that all the Not Available's were Euro accounts.

Not sure how someone on Party had a not Available hometown.

Re: \"not available\"

Please tell me you listed your street address as
"12 Bornwitha" or
"64 Straightenmee" or
"22 Useenmi"

Jokes aside, I doubt the validity of address information to begin with. I've noticed some obviously fakes ie. "yaright", or "noway", but have never heard of a site questioning a players address. From the posts above, it seems like "not available" means either a new player or a different skin.

Thanks

At one time on Party if you had never made a cashout your hometown would display as N/A. It has been so long now I don't know if this is still the case with an old account with nary a cashout.

Re: \"not available\"

if they do some sort of check on you (via signing up for other skins) then your address might need to matchup.
they can ask you to fax in a utlity bill with your address or something.

also - if you win a prize package (like the PPM cruise or WSOP) they will be sending the info and perhaps even tickets to your home address.

for this same reason....it is in your best interest to use your real name
