AKo vs. a dick (lancasteraus)

villain here is lancasteraus. he is about 23/19/3.5 he is an over-aggro spaztard, but is a winner in the game. he reads this forum, but to my knowledge has yet to have the stones to reveal himself. he knows who i am and has been berating me from the moment he sat down at the table. he loves the fact that i had a 500BB drop, and assumes i am a losing player. he talks about outplaying me, but i doubt he has pulled any moves. i have said nothing throughout all of this. what's your turn/river play?

Call, Bet/Call river.

Throw your computer in the dump when you lose?

True

Re: AKo vs. a dick (lancasteraus)

ugh...

you failed to cap it preflop which I think he'll think you'd do with AK at least to some extent. I think your 3bet on the turn is too much actually. you have to put him on 99/AA to fold here and that's pretty tough to do, but now your situation looks hopeless.

I'm not too sure about the 3-bet on the turn, I haven't played enough with him to know his range here.

Betting the river seems horrible to me though. I'd c/c.

Also, if the guy gets to you AT ALL I seriously recommend turning off chat. Be honest with yourself about it too.

Re: AKo vs. a dick (lancasteraus)

Turn looks like top pair & a flush draw to me, either that or you are tied. Other than that 55 (doubt it), AA, 99, or A9s
are the other reasonable possibilities unless he is on crazy monkey tilt (which based on his text is possible).
Bet-call a non-spade river would be ok, but I'd probably check-call the river anyway because I am lame.

PS: I like your pre flop, this is the right place.

unless he 3bet you with AA or 99 you either tied this or pwned his AQs or AJs, unless he rivered u. Definitly looks like a pair plus draw.

By the way, morons like this are super fun to play. They also tilt super easy and its especially awesome to play them with a friend watching, seeing them go on ape [censored] tilt HU and busting up about it is definity good times. Love the tiltie tiltie. He's also probably fat. And a metrosexual. With a growth on his face. He could be a pissed off leper. Either way, he's a moron.

What is wrong with the obvious cap preflop, bet the flop, c/r the turn line? So what if after you c/r the turn he puts you on AK? What's he going to do about it?

I'd call and c/c the river. I've noticed this guy too. I just turn the chat off. He'll get tired of talking BS if he knows you're not even reading it.

Re: AKo vs. a dick (lancasteraus)

Bet/call the river is pretty bad here IMO. AA, 99, A9s are all possiblities, and AA and 99 are def raising you- A9 might, or might not, depending on the river and depending on how much of a spazztard he is. He will still bet most of the hands that would call a bet anyway.

For the turn three bet to be correct he has to be able to do something dumb like cap AQo.

Re: AKo vs. a dick (lancasteraus)

After you pwned his AQ, did he say, "OMG you fish, you didn't cap AK preflop!"

I've played with this guy several times. My guess is that he hasn't ever been laid and hasn't come to grips with his own homosexuality.

I check, he checks. he shows AQo and MHIG. Now that I know what he had, I really wish I would have bet the river, as he clearly would have called. But I still think check/call here is the superior line. By the way, I intentioanlly just called the preflop 3bet as I KNEW I could get him to overplay AQ-AT if I did. If he reads this, he seriously needs to stfu when it comes to the fish it's a fine line between riling them up and pissing them off and/or educating them (i.e. pointing out that they are on a heater and should realize it before they lose it all again...wtf).

Bob... nice line. Totally agree w/ the river. Anomally that he didn't bet imo.

I don't think it's an anomaly. Villain thinks, 'hey, I'm probably ahead here, I should in a little more money.' Problem is, if he just calls the 3-bet and goes for a raise on the river, that opens him up to a 3-bet there. By capping, he's able to get one additional bet in on the turn when he's probably ahead without exposing himself on the river.

IMO this makes no sense. he put in 4 bets, same as if he merely calls the turn 3bet and calls the river. the river card changed nothing. if he calls the turn 3bet and pops the river, he is NEVER good if he gets 3bet and can safely fold. IMO capping this turn is just plain retarded. What can villain put me on that he has beat? I can see it if villain picked up a flush draw, but otherwise it is just chip spewing.
