Re: Favorite Movie Soundtracks
Any Tarentino film.
I GOTCHA! Uh huh, huh, you thought I didn't see ya now, did ya? Uh huh, huh, you tried to slip by me now didn't ya? (hee hee) Uh huh, huh, now gimme what you promised to me, GIVE IT HERE! HEEEEEY! Not to mention the dialogue bonuses about amputations. Harvey Kietel on "ResDogs": "Cut off one of his fingers. The little one. Then tell him his thumb is next. After that, he'll tell you if he wears ladies' underwear." Lucy Liu in "KB I": "The price you pay for bringing up either my Chinese or American heritage as a negative is: I collect your fxcking head. Just like this fxcker here. |

The Third Man (1949) [/ QUOTE ] Gotta love the zither! Good choices. Two recent additions: In terms of songs that I constantly listen to...nothing was better than Garden State's soundtrack. I could listen to In the Waiting Line or Lebanese Blonde or Such Great Heights forever, and I probably will. The soundtrack for Requiem for a Dream is also phenomenal. The haunting violin on the overtures...it's amazing as a stand-alone, but if you have seen the movie, the songs can bring you to tears. Will |

Re: Favorite Movie Soundtracks
i agree with so many already mentioned. i'll add the life aquatic soundtrack.
i have a love/hate relationship with the judgment night soundtrack. some good fun stuff, but it was likely instrumental in bringing about rap-metal, and we've all seen how horrible that got. |

man requiem for a dream has to be the most overrated movie on 2+2 by a mile [/ QUOTE ] The soundtrack was very good, and the movie was entertaining. Not having ever been into heroin or coke or whatever it was that those kids were doing, I can't really relate to it. I did like seeing that girl from Labyrinth in the "a$$ to a$$" scene. ~D |

It's not a banjo, it's a Concert Zither. [/ QUOTE ] I stand corrected. I never played a stringed instrument, aside from 30 minutes figuring out that a violin is difficult to play. And I didn't dislike the song, but could recall no other piece of music from the film. Excellent movie, by the way. I don't think it's better than Citizen Kane as far as the production values went, but I do think the story is better. ~D |
