4-tabling with a 19 inch Monitor with 1600x1200 ok?

Hello!

I cannot afford a 21 inch Monitor (I live in Thailand and prices for a 21 inch Monitor are 30% higher than in Europe) now and i want to buy this LCD-Monitor:

Samsung Syncmaster 910T (19inch with 1600x1200 solution).

It is ok for 4-tables or it is to small?

I think its not a problem of overlapping its more a problem with card sizes. Have anybody experience with this size?

Regards
slimbob

I used to 8 table with a couple of 17" crts before I got some of the dell lcds. The size of the cards was never a problem.

@ mantasm

How is that possible without overlapping?

Normally these monitors have a lower solution than 1600x1200.
I want play 4 tables without overlapping.

1600x1200 is enough. You won't have any overlap!

Dell 2001FPs are frequently on sale for less than $500. Even if they're 30% higher where you are they'll be under $700. I'd recommend one, I got a couple and they're pretty cool and relatively inexpensive.

slim--I just purchased this exact monitor last week, for around $625 (after $100 rebate), and I'd def. recommend it. I don't have experience using any other large, flat-screen monitors for poker purposes, but I love it so far and it's perfectly adequate for four-tabling.

Oh, and you can't go wrong with Samsung stuff in general.

Re: 4-tabling with a 19 inch Monitor with 1600x1200 ok?

The resolution is the main thing. You've got 1600x1200 there, so you're set because you can get four full tables onscreen that way. The actual screen size is much less important. 19 inches is great, though, and that's probably what almost every 4-tabler uses. You can be confident that 19 inches is a great monitor size.

By the way, you can get 19-inch CRT's for about a hundred dollars American, which is one fifth or less of the price you will typically pay for a LCD screen. I'm using two now that I got for that price. Some of these no-name monitors are better than others so you should always have a physical look at any monitor before you buy it, but I've been enjoying mine for years.

Don't be scared off of using regular CRT monitors for four-tabling. It's dirt cheap and works absolutely fine.
