I'm lookinf forward to the Paul Phillips challenge match in Triple Draw if they play. On his blog, Paul said 100k is a bit much to risk short term.

I don't remember it that way. He may have said it was one of his bets games but he was referring to stud other than a heapds up match where he felt barry didn't understand headup stud as well. I also remember him saying PLO barry would be the biggest favorite out of all the matches.

That probably has something to do with the stakes. A lot of pros are balking at the $100k level, and DN is willing to play $500k. I cannot imagine that Negreanu can be playing comfortably within his bankroll here, and being results oriented tends to be a side-effect of that mistake.

You can play just about anything HU in omaha.

I'm paraphrasing as opposed to quoting him here, but he basically said that he was happy playing outside his bankroll because its the only way to achieve any meaningful success, and people who are more risk averse are far less likely to get to the highest levels.
