I'm not sure that it's best to group 5/10 in the high bracket.

Although in theory you could sort the posts this way, in practice I think it encourages 5/10 players to post in the high forum because of the glamour.

I think it's better to make the high forum include 6/12+ and then make it known that it's okay to post interesting/difficult/deep-stacked/etc hands from the lower stakes. That way, you encourage 5/10 players who wander onto 2+2 to post their hands on the lower forum, but you give some leeway to the 5/10 2+2 veterans.

Despite this I would be happy with the proposed change and would make the effort to post some hands in the new mid level forum.

This argument could be made no matter what cutoff point is chosen. Games are going to vary across limits and across sites, and you obviously cannot make a separate forum for each one. I think that including 1/2 in Mid would be appropriate as a means of splitting the forums somewhat evenly, and because players playing 1/2 online have presumably already learned to beat NL25, NL50, and NL100... they should have a firm grasp of the fundamentals and they should be ready for deeper hand analysis and more levels of thinking.

Jeff,

That is an excellent idea. 5/10 should be put in the lower range so that's the place for default 5/10 questions. Smart players can post 5/10 in higher stakes as appropriate.

Agreed. I play 1/2 and 2/4 and don't feel like I can post anywhere. I bet there are many 1/2 --> 3/6 players that feel the same way and would contribute to a mid forum.
