This isn't strange in an alien way, but it seemed worth mentioning.

My father passed away eight years ago and left an extensive pop-culture library. He was a game player but not a poker player. Last year, I was browsing through the books when I came across an old copy of 'The Education of a Poker Player' by Herbert O. Yardley. It's the original poker text, the one A. Alvarez talks about in his works, 45 years old (first printing of the second release. The original was in 1957)and has a price tag on it with a handwritten price of 25 cents. Just a fun discovery for a poker buff.
