I wasn't talking about defense as much as i was talking about handling pitchers/calling a game. This is less important now with free agency (for certain teams) as there are more staffs made entirely of veteran pitchers, but for teams with young pitching staffs a catcher who knows how to handle them is more important than one who can hit.

bonds...best baseball player of my life and its not close. plus i hate watching golf.
