Listen windbags, only those of you whose *living* depends on their understanding of poker can criticize her here. She doesn't just theorize abstractly in a vacuum about these matters. Her living *depends* on her ideas about poker. And clearly she is making a very very good living doing it. How many of you can say that?

I have to agree that you are allowed and advised to take a step back and re-evaluate your situation after every action. Those of you who just auto-call in that spot would be advised to at least consider the context.

Raising for information clearly has a place. Dogmatic 2+2'ers are advised to read your official canon. Sklansky and Miller are inclined to agree with Shirley.

Many are more than qualified to criticize even if they have outside sources of money that allows them to not need their poker winnings in order to survive.

You have to check out Hawaiian Gardens. If the Bike were a website, it would be Ultimate Bet. Hawaiian Gardens is PartyPoker of SoCal, fish central cause you got all the OC players there who are too afraid to go to Bell Gardens. But if I had only one day in SoCal the Bike is the Best overall choice.

I'm checking out the Bike solely to see the show and to meet the hosts.

I'm going to be in So Cal for four days but I unfortunately just have that 1 night free ... and even that isn't guaranteed.

We shall see, but I'm looking forward to getting mocked for three hours, especially if they keep it as NL where I'm really going to be ... well, you'll see.

Hawaiian Gardens and Hollywood Park are both huge fishbowls. I've never lost at HP.

Don't walk around too much outside of Hollywood Park though. It ain't in the greatest of neighborhoods.

Bell Gardens is not that bad these days. It's a small residentil/industrial suburb of LA. It use to be overrun with Mexican gangs, but most died out/in jail/ or have injunctions. Just don't wander too far from the Casino grounds. Hell Hawaiian Gardens isn't Newport Beach Either. The fact is all the Cardrooms in LA county are in areas where there is no major employer (Lockheed,Hospital, etc). I've never had problems anywhere, plus each casino has like 20 security guards.

Rent a Car, it will be cheaper. A cab will run you at least $100 one way. Thursday between 3-7pm Anaheim to Bell Gardens is at least 50 mins to an hour. The only way you would get there quicker is if the freeway were empty(usually middle of the night 25 minutes).
