hi fuego,

No not at all... The reasons have more to do with my view of the god concept, which I find totally unnaceptable from a moral stand point. They are not a judgement on other people's positions.

Aren't you proving the point of some people by taking atheism to a religious status? What does what you find morally acceptable or unacceptable have to do with whether or not there's a God?

Agnostics have no problem admitting that the Flying Spaghetti Monster might exist and be our creator.

Let's not get carried away. I don't know for sure there has never been an actual witch, warlock, ghost or vampire either, but I very highly doubt it. This is a far cry from having no problem admitting they might exist.

Agnostics (at least my interpretation of one), find the idea of FSP and other gods just as silly.

Questions for Christians

1) Is the Flying Spaghetti Monster hovering about in your room right now?

2) Are you sure?

3) Is the creator god Yahweh or Allah? (The Koran says it's Allah, and he wrote the book.)

4) Why don't you just let NotReady handle the questions from now on?

I haven't read the other posts before responding to your questions:

[ QUOTE ]
1. Is there a bear in the room you are in now?

[/ QUOTE ]

No.

[ QUOTE ]
2. Is there a flea in the room you are in now?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not sure.

[ QUOTE ]
3. Are you sure?

[/ QUOTE ]

#1: Yes. #2: No (yes, I'm sure I'm not sure).

[ QUOTE ]
4. Is the lack of evidence proof that something is not there?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, but it's a good place to start. Until there is evidence, or inductive reasons to believe something is there, then it's probably not.
