I always thought When the Music's Over gave the entire Doors package in one song; the quiet introspective stuff and the raging apocolyptic stuff.

House of the Rising Sun is an old folk tune written by a woman, later recorded by Bob Dylan and made absolutely famous by Eric Burdon and the Animals. I don't think the Doors ever recorded it.

*edit - although, to bring it full circle, I will say that Burdon sings Roadhouse Blues at all his concerts now as a staple.
