FYI, here was hand. GoG opens, I believe two callers.

Flop 44Ar. Checked around.
Turn 44A Jd (two diamonds). Bet, GoG semi-bluff raises w/ KTd. Opp w/ JJ calls.
River blank. Check, GoG pushes. Opponent tanks and calls. I think he legitimately was worried about GoG having AA here.

I imagine GoG pushed because he felt his opponent would fold enough of the time.

I was watching at that time and thought GoG had a huge hand.

Thx for the HH Diablo, I was watching as well and also thought he was holding a big hand, just really suprised to see a bluff at the river. Just wanted his thinking about the hand

Mainly, I just don't like playing in games where I have to regularly put in $10k+ with one-pair and do tons of $25k+ 60-40 gambles. Yes, of course is is very profitable. Just beyond my gambling comfort level. I could probably make money in that game playing some boring poker, but that's no fun for me. I'd rather play a more wide-open style in 10-25 and 25-50, something I'm not comfortable doing in 50-100. Yet?

[/ QUOTE ]

Heads up 10-25 is about my comfort limit - and I play that with $1K. Otherwise 2K for a game is plenty. Kind of weird but there it is. Too bad, because 5-handed no limit fish and chips is my best game by far. Maybe with a mega-roll I'd feel differently, but I don't play enough and also invest too much to get one of those without a tourney win.

I'll take the easy comfortable game any day. Serve mine in a barrel.

100k won't cut it. The reason KKF gets action like this from arbitrary is that KKF has been playing extremely aggressively while running ridiculously well. Showing lots of bluffs and talking [censored] while usually having the best hand is a recipe for tilting someone. People do stupid things when it gets personal; arbitrary is not going to give sick action to someone obviously playing on short, scared money.

[/ QUOTE ]

Makes sense. I was figuring on that for taking a shot, like seeing arbitrary and KKF going at it and sliding into the rotation.

[ QUOTE ]
Normally I would say yes, but I had my largest loss ever last night in a great game.

[/ QUOTE ]

That could be ugly. Some night when we're all plasted on The Chinese we should play "my biggest loss was..."

[ QUOTE ]
The Diablo won't play this game with me because he knows I would bluff him out of every pot.

[/ QUOTE ]

Diablo doesn't actually play his own poker. He outsources.

were you sitting at the table but not playing in order to be able to see mucked hands at showdown?

Thinking with the second nuts on this board?

I must really bad in think that this is an insta-call 100% of the time.

Third nuts.

Still hard to conceive of folding unless opponent is rock of rocks.
