Re: Quiz hand
Is this supposed to be one of those posts where you expose the difference between small- and higher-stakes? I guess you expect SS posters to say call and play for a set or something dumb and MH posters to say jam it and throw money around.
I jam it and throw money around. 220 to go, and that makes the flop a push most of the time if anyone calls. |

Re: Quiz hand
Pretty easy raise to 210. Put UTG all-in-he's pretty much the only player I'd be worried about and he's a shortstack. I would fold to an all-in from one of the original callers (except for button).
On the flop, assuming the shorty's all-in and there's another player, I would gun out any non-A non-K flop and call any raise. On an A or K-high flop, I would check it down. |
Re: Quiz hand
RAise to $200. Fold to a push.

Re: Quiz hand
im curious why you would play this way if A or K comes down??

Re: Quiz hand
What hand do you think they are calling a big re-raise with that has an A or K in it? AK? It's possible, but more likely someone is going to call with a hand like JJ or TT that they think may already be good and if it isn't they might hit a set. And once I put that much of my stack in preflop, I'm bombing away on any flop simply because I'm not folding. I mean, if it's really dry and you want to check to induce a bluff instead of pushing to protect, that's fine with me. But my point is that once I build such a big pot preflop there is no way I'm folding postflop.
