Re: New Car, $50K-60K
If your budget is that much why settle for a compact car? Unless you really value the super performance aspect of it, an M3 is so silly to get when you can get pretty damn solid performance with a mid sized import. Go for an A6, Mercedes E class or BMW 5-series. If performance is that important I'd still pick a Corvette Z06 over an M3.

The M3 seems like a solid mix of performance/comfort/style to me. I see your point though.

I say no Porsche for him. Either scrounge some more dough to get a diff. one, or go another (perfectly pimp) route.

Re: New Car, $50K-60K
If I had that much money to throw around, I think there are a few pretty good investments you could make instead, but that's not what you asked.
I'd go for a new 330, M3, a very recent 5-series, or a pretty recent 7 series. |
Re: New Car, $50K-60K
IMHO, 50-60k is too much for a car regardless of how much money you have... very bad use of money.

I'd get a used S55. [/ QUOTE ] If you look hard enough, you should be able to find a 2002 in your price range, or maybe a 2003. |

Lotus Elise, and it's not even close.

E46 BMW M3 Competition Package
E39 BMW M5 (lightly used) I'd probably go for the M5, personally. |
