my first mouse breaking experience is rather funny now too. back when i was an SNG'r it was down to 4 and i lost a huge hand that woulda took me into the money but instead gave me 4th. Or so i thought, i had the guy covered and didnt realize it, so i through my mouse to the wall which was the standard two feet in front of me. it broke into a few pieces as i realized i was still in the damn thing. so with no mouse and nothing i could do, as i found out party doesnt have hot keys (at least not that i know of). i had no choice but to fold automatically. i was then banging on my keyboard and the main screen popped up, somehow, so now not only couldnt i play, but i couldnt see what was going on. i recall winning one automatic all-in when i was in the BB. and ultimately took 3rd as i dont think the other 3 players realized what was going on.

After numerously slamming my mouse i invested in some sponge balls from the local dollar store and i must say they have definetly come in handy. My buddy on the other hand was playing an EPT qualifier on Pokerstars. He got eliminated 1 position out from being sent to Monte Carlo. Upon losing, he swiftly cracked his 15" CRT with a loaded right hook. (The monitor was being used as a temp).

If you fold the little legs down and lay the keyboard flat it's MUCH harder to break. Don't ask how I know. Let's just say I've been working with MS crap for too many years and lost too many documents at bad times.

and I also tore up HEFAP in a fit of rage and had to glue it back together

This is far and away my personal favorite. The image of a guy gluing HEFAP back together after a beat is hilarious.

I have given thought to burning every 2+2 book I own and hunting down Ed "don't fold for 1 bet on the river" Miller, David "Big Number Theory says you win long term" Sklansky, and Mason "they (ed and david) are right" Malmuth after a series of pots lost to the frickin river backdoor 1 card flush/straight some moron capped preflop with 42 off suited 'cause he thought I was bluffin.

My worst was picking up my chair and throwing it across the room (and putting a 2" hole in the wall - not intended)...not my finest momment.

I have two "worsts" -

- one was getting up and kicking a hole in the wall

- the other was picking up my brand new leather desk chair and slamming it into the ground.

I think Tapin's advice is the best. Buy a cheap optical mouse. Not that they're going to last long either if you're gonna slam it on your desk.
Man, you must have slammed it quite hard if the ball came out lol

heres some advice from an old pro at breaking [censored]

Break you keyboard next time in stead. They snap really easily over your knee and its quite satisfying. You can replace them for $3.99 which is alot cheaper than a mouse, and after you are done you can still play poker, or at least finish off the hands at your tables. Nothing worse than getting 2 outted, flinging your mouse across the room, and then seeing AA on another one of your tables and then not being able to do anything about it.
