Anyone have any idea how they were selected for this? Maybe we could figure it out if people were willing to put what levels they play and approx. how many hands/month they play on Empire.

Yeah, anyone?

I play 30,000 3/6 hands a month at Empire alone, and didn't get the e-mail.

Perhaps I'm too loyal.

Only 120 points away from the Royal Flush Club, so that's cool I guess... but still.

A response from Empire

I tried to join the special promotion and could not. When I entered my information, the automated replay was that I was not eligible. I have been a VIP Club member for over a year now. So, I wrote an email to VIP services at Empire asking if I was eligible and if not Why. This is the "INFORMATIVE" response I received.

Did a whois lookup on both sites, and both www.ep.com and www.epvip.com have the same information, FWIW.

[/ QUOTE ]

The risk is that some emails contain URLs that use non-standard characters that look like real characters. So www.epvip.com and www.epvip.com might look like they go to the same place, but in fact don't. However, I believe firefox now detects this and mangles bad domain names when you enter them into the browser so its obvious you aren't on the right site.

30,000 per month? How long have you been doing this?

Since forever.

Actually, since around March/April.

Not getting included in this promotion is beginning to harsh my gig, unless it would've encroached upon my rakeback income.

Probably best to just forget about it
