I don't see a million hands a year as out of the question...

70 hands per table hour, 8 tables, 5 hours a day = 1,022,000 hands a year :-) (70 hands per table hour at 6max is reasonable I think)

Count me in for the $20 if you're just giving it away...

Reality Check

Instead of "Good luck, man! I know you can do it!", I want to shed some objective light on this post:

* Like Microbob said, if you feel you're never faced with any tough decisions, you're too much on auto-pilot. In all probability, this will hinder your initial sessions at the next level up.

* Jumping from 2/4 & 3/6 to 5/10 (whether it be full table or SH - they're both different beasts) is a tough jump for most. Many have to drop back down once or twice before they make the permanent jump. This leads me to my next point....

* [ QUOTE ]
I will not stop playing the 5-10 until I have hit 100K hands, it doesn't matter if I am winning at 2BB/100 or losing at -2bb/100 Once I have hit the 100K mark I will re-evaluate at that point.

[/ QUOTE ]

.... this is one of the most stubborn, -EV things a person could do. I hope you see why.

* while making such a transition, "starting with 4-tabling" is not the way to go.

I'm not trying to be a dick here. On the contrary, after reading your post, I can definitely see you potentially losing thousands of hard-earned dollars - needlessly.

Wade into the deep end slowly, but confidently. Re-evaluate at every chance you get, NOT only after 100,000 hands!

I guess what I'm trying to say is: COUNT ME IN FOR THE FREE $20!

For some reason I have no problem hopping into a game of 15-30 at a live casino but online all I ever want to do is 2-4 and 3-6.

... that's because they're basically the same caliber of players.
