943 flop on day 2 with K3. Matusow had J7o, no pair, no draw

... I guess running cards doesn't count as a draw any more.

Not that I disagree that Mike got lucky.

I don't want to argue over semantics, but personally when I hear "no draw" I don't think it means the same thing as "drawing dead."

If Matusow wins this its going to make for one hell of a human interest story: from the Clark County jail to a $7.5M WSOP win.

I am very interested to see this too. He cant bully anymore but he will have to be supperagressive should be interesting.

Check out the video's on Cardplayer.com.....

Greg essentially tells you what his game is all about. It's not glamorous, but it's right on the button....

"Make good decisions".

In this case (big stack vs. average stack), it means that he will adjust his game based upon the dynamics of his table, and the reads he makes.

Yes, he plays a 'big stack' very well, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't know how to play an average stack just as well......just different parameters.

Shouldn't this be obvious? How would he get big stacks all the time if he wasn't playing great poker at every step?

Of course it doesnt mean that. All it means is we now get to see it.

And will help put poker right back in the shitter where it came from.

"Convicted Cokehead Wins Poker Championship."

Cue TV exposes about the dark underbelly of professional poker, where all the pros are drug addicts to cope with the stress, and those that fail fall into a death spiral of addiction (Stuey). Cue "addiction experts" who claim that the personalities who would become gambling addicts ("pros") are also almost certain to have other addictions, like drugs or sex. Cue sob stories about how gambling drove people into lives of addiction and misery.

...yes it should.

Forgive me for pointing out the obvious, but given some of the questions/comments in this string, I thought it was called for.

Re: 3-1 Ivey winning it

Are you insane 3-1? Should be at least 12-1 you grossly underestimate the amount of luck needed to win this thing even from this close.

So is this an acceptance?
You give me 3-1..... I did conider luck. ANd its down to 56 players. Looking at his stack his table. I think 3-1 is a nice price. He is going to run all over them.....
