I feel bad about what I said and have to apologize. I have a nasty wit about me. I'll argue people into a circle until it's twisted my way. In addition, I type 60WPM and can't spell a lick as most engineering educated individuals for what that is worth.

Interesting topic, though I hate the term. I had the good fortune to take classes with JL Dillard, in high school, and meet and chat after a talk, with Bill Labov, in college.
