after i showed QQ, he flipped over two black aces. Is showing still a bad play if you believe villain will show his cards too?

Yes, I think so. You have much more information about his hand than he does about yours, and if he's a thinking player, he's trying to understand your massive PF overbet. Your show gives him way too much information about it.

His responsive show helps you somewhat, but AA is certainly in the range of hands he'd play just that way -- so his showing doesn't get you that much.

Once the big overbet is in, I would have played it just like you did -- except for the show.

no idea why you show this hand here...and fold pf, what hands are minraising your huge pf raise?

KK or AA. The minraise leaves hero in the position of calling $500 into a pot of $1650, and villain has $4k behind. It seems to me safe to say that if hero flops his set, he is getting paid off, in which case the pf minraise gives him good odds to hit.

i disagree with some of that, with the way he played this, i don't think he's the type that is folding QQ on a no-scare board of unders...therefore if he misses and the board is ugly, he loses his chips more times than necessary

A lot of people play poker as a competetition, to prove they are better then everyone else. Your play exhibits this behaviour. Do not continue it.
