Exactly my favorite place to play. New Orleans. I hope Harrahs comes back soon...That 3-6 and other games were the best. I lived at those tables last summer..In the words of the immortal Arnold, "I'll be back."

You mean 20/40 limit hold'em? I don't play limit that much myself, but I thought such high limit games always was tough to beat.

Harrah's is supposed to come back after the first of the year, but I don't know when the games will recover. My impression was that most of the extreme fish were tourists. There's no telling when the tourists will be back. I'm also not sure the losing locals who played there will have the kind of disposable income required to fund their poker habit.

I do have to agree that the 3/6 holdem games last year at Harrah's NO were definitely the equal of the best games at that limit in Vegas in my experience.

How could a game filled with dealers be "totally tough"?

Normally I would totally agree with you. But there are some real sharks working at the Fort...

Any game in Las Vegas from 10/20 and down.

Is this true? I always feared competition at Vegas. I had this notion that people played well. Am I wrong?

$2-$4 limit at Catfish Bend in Burlington, IA on the Saturday and Sunday following the 1st and 15th of the month. Old farmers and retirees stop in to blow their pension checks; while a few of them have figured things out, the majority get eaten alive by the local online players and smile while it's happening.

Good times.

I'll also toss Winstar into the mix...

Let me give a couple examples of the types of players you have here...

One hand was 7 handed to the flop after my raise on the button... I had AK(H) and the flop came Jxx two hearts. Someone in early position bet out, three callers and I raise. Turn gives me a heart and I bet it and get all calls. River brings a J, and I know I'm beat... EP doesn't bet out with the nut full house and flips over his cards half expecting to lose.

Players telegraph their hands so much its insane... The ONLY time I have ever seen someone raise preflop is with AA or KK... I have also seen someone check 4 aces down to the river... In the entire time I have played 4/8 there, I have only once encountered a good player, and apparently went to OU. He showed me a pretty easy trick you can do to a player with a big hand who bets out.... Reach for chips as if you will raise and see what they do. 9/10 if they have a monster they'll grab a stack of chips right away.
