I played lacrosse...I looked at Pop Warner ball when I was 11 and said, "Eff that, Dad. How'm I going to turn out if I spend much of my formative years at the bottom of a pile of other guys?"

As a matter of fact, I still play lacrosse...just got back from a 40-and-over tourney over the weekend. 4 games Friday, 5 games on Saturday. It's one of the beauties of the game, I can keep playing until I can't walk any more (one of our guys was 63, and wearing this prehistoric piece of crap on his head...it was leather, being held together with masking tape...not duct tape, not electrical tape, MASKING tape).

I guess that makes me a giant..6'6" 240. Starting to catch a little around the edges as I near the big four-oh, but, as the wife says, I'm still proportional.

And, Stif...I mean, Entity, why don't you shave your head, but keep the vandyke? That seems to be all the rage, these days. I saw more guys walking around Vegas this weekend, looking like thumbs with vaginas than I could count.

Our high school had a football team that usually went to state, etc. We had plenty of guys. The wrestling coach really wanted a piece of me, though.

I remember in 10th grade somehow I got junior PE instead of sophomore PE, and all the juniors did was play a bunch of games. No real physical fitness thing.

So we played football once, and this 18 year old in the class was QB. He told me to go long.

So I did... ran down to the endzone, looked up and saw the football in the air to me (of course I was completely open).

The thing hit me square in the chest, threw me back about 3-4 yards, but I held onto it.

That's my sports memory.
