It might have something to do with the fact that they have a competent offense, unlike a fair number of the other teams on these lists.

Perhaps I am (I think most of us are to some extent, without meaning to be). I think any one of those teams in my top ten (eleven) would beat Oregon on a neutral field if they played them (including Fresno State if they played again). That is how I measure top teams. FWIW, Oregon would be 12th.

Come on. It's obviously NOT absurd that everyone has USC.

Oregon is at least debatable. I had trouble with # through #11. I just don't think Fresno State is better than Oregon, though I think it's close. I don't know what else to tell you. For the record, I think that compared to most people, I care a lot more about margin of victory and trust certain computer rankings more.

If I had to group the twelve teams I've mentioned so far, I'd group them thusly.

Then how do you like Oregon more than Fresno when Oregon got massacred at home by USC, while Fresno nearly beat them on the road?
