If you decide to fold to give him a better shot of making the money, you are cheating.

So basically I shouldn't care right? Think about myself and only myself.

Gotcha. Going to have to work on that ruthless thing, but I'll get it eventually.

The key question to ask is: would or should that 2+2er even be upset that you called? If he's a TRUE 2+2er he should love getting called as a 2-1 favorite or so to double up , regardless if it's on the bubble or not.

I don't expect special treatment from someone who happens to know me from a forum (this or otherwise). You play your game and if you happen to knock me out, well so be it. No biggie right??

I'm guessing he forgot all about after a few days. I just hate how it feels to lose in those deep stack tournaments. You feel like you've wasted your whole work day for just a few bucks.

Maybe it's not so important of WHO knocks you out, but a matter of how you got knocked out. It's easy for me to blame myself for him losing, but it was another hand that put him into that position in the first place. So there are many factors of losing. While one hand will knock you out, there are others that lead to what you do in the future against any given opponent.

Food for thought anyway.

You must be a girl. Real poker players would bust out their grandmother.

Unbelieveable.

Not a *single* thread referencing "busting out a crying baby jesus."

Pathetic.

Remember, it's just poker. You aren't killing people.

Well, I could get even more offensive, but there's been a bit of a stir lately about Nazi references and such.

Part of me felt bad. Another part of me says, I'm in it for the money. I'm going to play the same against any other player, why should it change for this guy?

So, what do you think? What would you do?

[/ QUOTE ]

Whatever. If you play the hand differently against a "friend" than you would against another competitor, you are cheating. Thus, attempting to soft-play a 2p2 person on the bubble - is cheating.

Everyone else is there for the money too, and when you bust them making a move that's going to get you money in the long run, they close up the table and go home, they don't think "i can't believe a 2p2 person busted me." similarly, if you bust them making a move that is -ev in the long run, they might think to themselves "what an idiot" but i doubt anyone cares who it was that busted them.
