I see you avoided answering my question for the second time.

If the question is what do I think of people getting up and walking away, I think it's no big deal and nothing needs to be done about it. Let people play their hands the way they want to and don't tie their hands with restrictive rules.

BTW, I think you have a bad read on the "releasing stress". If that's the case, why not walk away from the table after their pocket 3s hold up? Better yet, why even watch the Flop, Turn, and River after your all-in bet is called? What could be more stressful than that?

[/ QUOTE ]

We've seen several examples of people walking away from the table after a hand and not watching the flop, turn, and river cards being dealt.

[/ QUOTE ]There's a HUGE difference between leaving the table AFTER the other person has called your all-in and BEFORE. I have no problem with someone leaving the table AFTER the action is complete and the slot machine spin (flop, turn, river) is completed.

Maybe I'm just too "old school". I still believe internet poker is a completely different, arcade-like version of real poker.

I'm not even sure whey this is allowed. You leave the table, you fold your hand.

Of course I don't really care; not going to cry over it if it happened, unless I lose with the second nut flush....

I've been noticing this "move" alot on the televised tournaments. Player A goes all-in then disappears from sight! WTF?

I'd like to see a rule saying you must remain in your seat until action is complete on the round (ie, all-in gets called). This "going all-in, then running to hide in the crowd" junk is so bad for poker, IMO.

Does anyone else despise this chicken-bleep play?
Has anyone seen this during their own tournament play?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would suggest that a more chicken-bleep play would be to try to get the rules of poker changed to not allow someone to stand up. What's next -- you must sit down and face your opponent. No putting your head down?

If a player doesn't come back in time, isn't his hand dead if it is called ?

(I benefited from this "move' in a cash game where I won a side pot with a bet, and then was pushed the main pot as well, because the "all-in" wasn't there ... his hand was not turned over, it was mucked because he was not there ... and would have been certainly the main pot winner.)

If there is a defined 'playing area" for a tournament, presumably NOT inclusive of "the crowd", shouldn't leaving it kill a hand ?
