I used to buy girls drinks at bars when I just met them. Sometimes I would buy there friends a drink as well. This only worked one time, and she was ugly.

This is the opposite of dumb IMO, but I will never buy a girl a drink unless she buys the first round (and we alternate after that). I'm talking about girls I meet there though, not someone who I brought out.
