i have a signup code in my email box from one of the more visible affiliates. if i sign up with them and they get shut down, what happens to me?

[/ QUOTE ]

You're hosed.

[/ QUOTE ]

in what way? would they keep the money in my account? if they close the account and i'm able to get my money out then i haven't lost anything

[/ QUOTE ]

True, and the affiliate will send you a conciliatory note saying "sorry, our hands are tied", while they celebrate because they then get to keep 100% of your rake. Refer to landmark case of PSO vs. everyone you know.

also, can people expand on the risks?

Nothing happens to you, you would just stop getting rakeback payments. Party has no reason to get rid of you if you're generating money for them.

Your money is most likely safe, but you obviously won't be getting any more rakeback. They'll shut down the affiliate, but they want to keep you.

Sounds like it is time for me to start trolling the under the table rakeback guys to find someone who will cancel my 2 month idle account and open a new one so I can get Party Rakeback.

I received the same statement

so basically all of the affiliates really had no reason to lead everyone on that "a deal is in the works".

if the trackers work, then use at your own risk. same scenario as 6 months ago.

[/ QUOTE ]

No that isn't the case at all. Most of them had a deal in the works and it was pulled out from under them at the last minute. My affiliate had actually gotten codes he was about to send out and 5 minutes before he was going to send them he was told not to. Two days later he got this same official statement.

Anyone got one of these "offers" yet? I have nothing, but then I never really played much on party either 'cept for the bonus.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this is better than you guys are making it out to be. I haven't played at Party in months, but I got an offer. My quick estimate is that it's worth about $20/hr, give or take a few bucks. That's pretty close to what I would have gotten with 30% rakeback.

Mine worked out between 12-18% but I'm low mileage.

I should have said this in the original post, but I think playing higher stakes makes the offer worth significantly more. My estimate is based on playing 15/30. Smaller stakes players are probalby getting a much worse deal out of this. But again, I only made a quick estimate and I don't have the information in front of me to look right now. I could easily be wrong.
