Re: \'do you see why?\' + \'holla\' = ignore?

When I see "holla" at the SNG tables, I figure it's someone trying to see if I talk back like I'm recognizing it, and then, if I do, steal my blinds more, since knowing it implies knowledge of this board and therefore how often folding is correct. So I rarely respond. Conversely, someone saying holla cues me in to try stealing his blinds a little more, since he will be less likely to make calls that blow my "any two" strategy when it rears its ugly head.

I overexplained that so it wouldn't seem incomprehensible to whoever might not follow SNG strat much, but on looking at it, I don't think it helped.

I find it ironic that you're ignoring people who use "do you see why?" and "holla", but you use "stfu" and "ysscky" in your poll - two expressions that are worse

YSSCKY is far worse than STFU. Do you see why? (I couldn't resist)

What is holla

[/ QUOTE ]

holla

[/ QUOTE ]

Is it pronounced like "holler"??

I don't know why, but I always assumed it was a variant of "hola", Spanish for hello, pronounced with a silent "h".

[/ QUOTE ]

If you were pronouncing it with a Spanish accent, wouldn't it sound like "oya"?
