Re: 1st WSOP 2005 hand, how would YOU have played it? X-Post
I don't know that I've ever folded 2nd set, I certainly can't think of an instance.
I have never advocated folding 2nd set. I am just saying that I am going to the turn and trying to keep the pot small especially as the number of hands that beats me increases. I am not afraid to play under these conditions, I am more concerned about not having a read on my opponent, which is another reason to be more cautious. |

appendix intact.
[ QUOTE ] but I think its unusual to see a drawing hand reraise here OOP, [/ QUOTE ] In that sense, you are right. It is unusual, but not groundbreaking. [ QUOTE ] and rare to see someone put a move on, this early on. [/ QUOTE ] no, it's not. In this instance, you are praying he has a hand on the flop. |

I agree with Sossman here,
I think you are up against a very strong hand or a Draw, not a hand like 1 pair or under pair. I think most players are betting out QQ-AA her most of the time. Either way I would raise here 100% of the time and only lose to JJ which I can live with. There are to many turn cards that either Kill you or Kill your action, so make him pay either way. Pay more for the Turn on a draw and stack him with 22 J7 or what ever. You have no reads on the player in a unraised pot, push alot of chips out there and let him make the mistake now , while it is clear you have the best hand. |
