Re: tough spot with Kings...

ICEMAN, this is EASY. DIABLO RAISES. DUDE RERAISES. DUDE SOMETIMES HAS AA, AK, QQ, JJ, TT, 99, 88, ?? ??. GAME IS AGGRESSIVE/STRONG ENOUGH THAT DIABLO CAN NOW RERAISE AGAIN TO GET MORE MONEY IN THERE PREFLOP. BECAUSE DIABLO'S HAND RANGE REMAINS FUZZY - IT IS AA V%/KK W%/QQ(?)X%/AK Y%/?? Z% IN HIS OPPONENT'S MIND - DUDE CAN'T CONFIDENTLY FOLD MANY OF THE HANDS HE COULD BE HOLDING GIVEN THE POT ODDS HE'S BEING OFFERED. DIABLO WOULDN'T 3BET IF IT DIDN'T HAVE A POSITIVE EXPECTATION (HE ISNT RETARDED). BUT NOW THIS DUDE DECIDES TO RERAISE AGAIN. UH-OH. HIS HAND RANGE IS NOW HEAVILY WEIGHTED TOWARDS AA (BUT IT IS DEF. NOT 100%, FOR THE REASONS STATED ELSEWHERE BY RAY ZEE ET AL.), BUT DIABLO'S POT ODDS ARE SICK SICK SICK AND THE MONEY MUST GO IN. SO THE MONEY GOES IN.

It is a little more complicated than that. We could spend some time analysing how diablo's hand range interacts w/the other dude's to give him an edge. Or some other stuff. I don't care. I just can't believe you couldn't conceive of a scenario where his line is justified.
