Re: I Can\'t Believe the Results of this Poll

Most radio stations will usually say "one hundred thousand dollars" over and over if they are offering cash prizes. They keep saying 100 thousand dollars can be yours tom etc.

Was this contest some kind of daily joke? I dont quite get why they would have a contest over a candy bar. If I was in the situation, Id try and go for the money...but if they dont say dollars, arent they give her what they promised essentially?

No, 100 Grand = Candy Bar... The woman made an incorrect assumption and got taught a free lesson...

I would petition the FCC to fine the station owner's ass. Why should the listeners be the only ones getting the lessons?

It's slightly different because the woman and the people from the radion station aren't ten years old.

If I was on a jury, from what I've read so far, it would take me ten seconds to award the woman $100,000 + her legal fees.

They wouldn't. Who would give a [censored] about winning a candy bar?

But if you can get people to tune in thinking they can win $100,000 when you're really only going to give them a candy bar, now that's a cost effective promotion? Unless you lose a lawsuit of course.

Only way to stop BS like this is for judges and juries to bring the hammer down and make them pay.

That's a pretty nasty sore on her lip. I can see why she's a "former" Hooters waitress. I guess the clientele didn't like getting served by someone with herpes.

If this is Greedy for wanting to get paid what they made her believe that she won, then I'm greedy as [censored].

I would be pissed beyond belief. I'm all about [censored] with people but with money it's a whole nother ball game.
