I think it is smart to start charging now, especially since GT+ doesn't support SnGs yet. Might get quite a few purchases out of that.

SnGs are my game, and after a while I realized that PV wasn't really helping a whole lot anyway. All you really need to know is who the decent or tight players are, and you can just tag those with notes.

To all people who think pokertracker should cost $100-200, I laugh. No new player (IE a .5/1 and 1/2 player) would buy it if it cost $100-200. I think Pat found a great equilibrium price at $55 (Although, I think the maximum equilibrium would go for $75)

And to all those that say that playerview is worth $50, I also laugh because playerview is worthless without tracker. Playerview should at MAX cost $25. It is a shame that the inventor will not budge on the price issue because he is losing a lot of buyers.

You can get a free copy by signing up for a new poker account at one of the Party Skins you havent hit yet.

The PV staff has got to be joking. The most recent testing version that I used has severe re-draw in my computer and graphical issues in the 6-max tables - with the numbers overlapping each other, numbers are in the wrong positions and numbers not correctly refreshing.

As an original donor and supporter to the original project, I feel this is way way overpriced IMO.

So instead of $50 I'm going to give a few thousand in rake back?

Please elaborate.

You can argue the numbers with me all day. But you won’t prove that there is less than $50 of value in PlayerView or that the added features in PlayerView over GameTime are not relevant.

More to the point, you only need one Party rakeback site. If play other skins for bonus (or whatever rocks your boat), but you'll collect little if any cashback on most of them while you're working off a bonus.

Since all the Party skins play the same tables, you only need one (or two, if you 8-table) for use when you're not working off a bonus. Pick the one where you get the best rakeback plan. (FWIW, many affiliates will top your best offer to date, as long as it leaves them even 1% from what they collect from the skin: 1% from a new client is better than 0% for a potential client who went elsewhere.)

Having more rakeback skins than you can use simultaneously doesn't gain you anything, and if you don't like your decision, you can always cancel your account and sign up later without that affiliate.

I don't think that rakeback will persist "forever" on (e.g.) the Party Network. The "absorbed"PokerNOW cancelled all affiliate contracts, as a lot of 2+2'er Party affilates will be happy to confirm. Don't get me wrong: other skins may stick with rakeback for years longer, but you only need to "sacrifice" one to get PV, and you'll probably be able to cancel even that.

This affiliate option only really concerns single-tabling, low hour, low stakes players (like me). If you play more table-hours or higher stakes, and find PV useful, keep your rakeback and buy it cash. It'll pay for itself in 1-2 pots that you might not have otherwise won. I happen to like PV, but if it doesn't help *you* scoop one single extra pot in an entire week, *you* probably don't want it anyway.
