Re: My Table

I don't have a digital camera, but I think somebody took some pictures on Saturday (I'll try to find out). I live in Central NJ. Again, this is a job that can be done by a complete neophyte...but it is essential to have access to certain tools (jigsaw, electric stapler, drill, etc.) Luckily, one of the guys I play with had the necessary tools, and was willing to let me borrow them.

Did you make the table with the wood ring at the edge? That's the part I'm afraid of screwing up.

You know, I was scared about it too, but I figured if I am going to go through with building the table, I wanted the "classier" look of the wood ring. You just have to really concentrate on your inner jigsaw cut, since that is the one that people will see. Mine turned out pretty good. Get the deep drink holders, and you are good to go.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: My Table

i dont know if this has been asked, but i am curious why the wood is there? is it just for the cup holders or a place for the chips to stay on a sturdy place? it seems like it would get in the way. compared to casino tables it is just the foam then the felt. any help? thx

Re: My Table

1. chips
2. cup holders
3. It just looks perty
Its just preference i guess. I like the standard "casino" tables too.

Re: My Table

it looks like there is no seams in the foam covering how'd ya manage that. I am gussing a lot of wasted fabric. Sure looks nice though

Re: My Table

If you mean the rail then yes there was a lot of wasted fabric. I could have put seams in the rail to save on fabric but that wasn't an option for me.

Re: My Table

So I am guessing you ordered a long length and cut it lengthwise. What did you do with the rest of the fabric. I am sure someone on this would want to do the same thing, No Seams, and you could sell it at a discounted price.
