Are you guys going around targeting 2+2ers and check-raising them all-in for laughs?

Yeah

If I know someone to be a trout (this has happened precisely twice, and the same person both times), I play differently. I try out bluffs a lot more often, because of the fold-fold-fold advice so often given on this forum.

That advice, particularly in this specific forum, is usually given under the assumption that you are not playing against other 2+2er caliber opponents, IMHO. Obviously if you know you are playing someone decent and they don't, you will be at an advantage until they realise that you are capable of bluffing and then they will adjust against you. Of course you shouldn't be a weak player. Of course you should be able to recognize bluffs and try to pick some off. But it is very hard to comment on one hand, essentially in a vaccuum, and say "oh, it looks like a bluff, you should have called." It is just too player and situation dependent, usually.

I would be very interested, however, if you could come up with a few specific threads where there was a lot of "fold-fold-fold" advice that you thought was weak. I'm definitely not saying it doesn't exist.
