Well the ninth place in a 3 dollar used to produce like 140 bucks I think. Now it's 19 bucks. [/ QUOTE ] I played 3 of the 10k RAs this week, FT the one on Monday, while knocking out JeanieJ in the process (she pushed with AK from the button, I had JJ in the SB, all rags on the board), fields have been anywhere from 1400 to 1900. 9th place paid me $300, not bad, not great, but I'm happy with it. |
Re: Have Stars Micros lost their value??
To those who claim that the distribution has changed so massively (like going from $140 to $19 in placing 9th), try to check the payout structure first:
http://www.pokerstars.com/tourney_prize_pool.html http://www.pokerstars.com/tourney_prize_pool_20.html In fact, I can't even imagine a $3 tournament that paid $140 for placing 9th (unless it had more than 4000 participants) ... But the new structure actually pays more for 9th with 4000+ participants (1.11% compared to 1.06% with the 10% structure). |
Re: Have Stars Micros lost their value??
I don't have the chart in front of me Jeanie, but I'm sure you can find a payout chart on pokerstars website.

Re: Have Stars Micros lost their value??
The 20% essentially halves the stakes that you're playing.
