Sorry, thought you were referring to the Ak Aj hand. Where woods is checked to with 16k in preflop and woods moves in for 10k. Chan folds. Chan should either move in preflop or move in on the flop. Otherwise shouldn't have called another 4k. And he never shoulda raised so much preflop if he was gonna play like a little girl after.

Hindsight is 20/20. If Woods had AA then Chan is a genius and everyone creates post after post about what a great read he made. If I'm one of the greatest pros of all time and I make a 10x BB raise and get re-raised the minimum by an amateur who says something like, "if I raise more then you can fold", I'm probably not going to want to call off the rest of my stack on a ragged flop with A high either.

Woods picked a good spot and represented a monster by following through. He made a good play and put Chan in a really bad spot for all of his chips. Even though Chan happened to get outplayed on this one and had a big pot stolen from him, the way he played it is completely understandable given the circumstances.

I'm sure some of the same people bashing him for not going all-in preflop or on the flop are the same ones that would be praising him for not going broke with the AK if Woods happened to have a big PP.

In one of the interview segments of the Woods vs Chan matchup, Chan mentioned that Woods won a 150 player tournament recently. Anyone know if this is true or did I misheard? if so what tournament?

T.J. cloutier was standing next to me when it happend and said he was shocked Chan played the hand that badly. That he didn't understand why Chan didn't move in preflop after woods raised. As he allowed himslef to get outplayed on the flop. He looked embarrassed for Chan.
