Actually, when I was in the army and running all the time, I don't think I could break 15. 20 may be optimistic.

Did this put you in the .001 percentile of speed in the army? I'm not even kidding.

I mean, the 405 pound guy. He wasn't old. You're old(er).

I'm just guessing, I never ran a timed 100 before yesterday. But 10 is world class. So I'll guess that the fastest guys I know can put up a 12; the average guys 13-14; and the slower-than-average guys like me 15 or better.

Am I way off? I'm just guessing.

(Note that I was 25 at the time, 5'7", 200 lbs. Every week, I was running 18 miles; bicycling 30 miles; and playing 2-3 hours of racquetball--trying to shed that extra weight that never did come off. All this cardio was great for my endurance, but didn't help my speed a lick. The only distance we timed back then was 2 miles for the PT test, and my times in that never improved much.)

I can run a 13s 100m dash with minimal effort. I bet that 80% of 2+2ers could. You are serously overestimating the effort needed to do this.

80% of us? Or 80% of your age group?

If it's 80% of the younger posters, put me down for a 14 or 15 when I was younger.
