Re: Dell 9300 Experience Wanted

I'm disappointed in the "look" of the screen also. My old Dell was much better. I have messed around with fonts, resolutions and viewing size. Copy and sites are blurry and do not look crisp and clear. Anyone have an idea on this? Or is this just because of the hi resolution screen?

I alway hook up a USB keyboard to type and seldom would use a touchpad so that does not bother me. Do not hook keyboard up direct to laptop, it won't boot if you do. I went thru my USB hub and it boots fine.

make sure u get one of the 7200rpm harddrives. They are one of the biggest bottlenecks of many systems. This is help with faster imports, quicker load times, etc.

People said $230 for this option was not worth it, too expensive.

The 3 9300s on the site are just the same computer with different options. You could build up the $999 on to be more expensive than the $2000 one.

For the Delf game go to www.dell.com/holiday I think.

I have tried to sign up here about 25 times and every time I enter the code it says it was entered wrong.

Using the right CAPS? That may make a difference.

Are you colorblind?

Not color blind and use caps, I know I am entering it right. Have no idea why it won't work.

I spoke with Dell support today and I asked about hooking up that new 30 inch Dell monitor with the Inspiron 9300 and they said it was possible if you upgraded the video card to 256MB and purchased a 2 port KVM switch...I think that sounds like a plan.
