We have time off, it is available (lots of iraqis drink), and we still eat pork (which is sacrelige to the locals). I think its mainly that we can be attacked at any time/be called to go raise hell at any time so they need to keep us sober.

My grandfather was the sergeant in charge (NCOIC) of the beer tent at his forward operating base in Vietnam - I always tell him how jealous I am : )

This could be fun. Put together a team and play a HU team event. Micro vs. small stakes. Line vs. line, backs vs. backs. Winning team gets a custom avatar for 2 weeks.

6' 195 currently, but 175 in HS (class of '92, I'm the old guy). I played strong safety, so I'm in.

Gave football up to play baseball in college though.

That's alright, QB's are allowed to be toothpicks... just the plastic ones rather than wooden though (wooden ones snap).

At age 19, 160 lbs can be pretty powerful if you've got it in the right places. At age 24, I'm starting to get a little flabby... not happy about it, either. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

i played left tackle on offense and strong side defensive end. ended up first team all league defense. would have also gotten first team offense, but i was suspended during an offensive drive and that automatically makes you ineligible to receive offensive awards/honors.

my roommate matt played middle linebacker in high school.

put me down as a wide receiver. I played that and corner back in high school. 6' 170lbs. Fast as hell, well in '97' I was fast as hell, now I'm probably fast as heck.

I missed this thread when it was really going (instead of its current football devolution). It's funny.

zulu and I (I think) are friends. He is friends with easypete. I am friends with easypete. Zulu and I talk sometimes on AIM.

Also, I don't really get the cold_cash thing. I've always thought of myself as myself and no one else, really.

Oh, I was born and raised in Atlanta, so I don't really have a midwestern thing going on. Just sort of a neutral accent with a bit of a drawl (very very very slight).

I sat the bench for one year on the basketball team, so this football thing doesn't fit me very well.

I'm fast, but I'm probably too small (5'10", 130 -- yes... 130 lbs) to be a wide receiver or defensive back. Maybe foot speed can tranlate well into kicking. I'll be the punter with the single bar helmet. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
