23,755 at the break. I've won some fairly big hands, and have a pretty good image and read at my current table.

elcheapo 09-07-2005 06:20 PM

3rd break

Down to 2700 after I get queens twice against an ace high flop and both times I got milked. Do I need to fold to the river half pot bet because I can never believe somebody ALWAYS hits their 3 outer

out in 450th place. Just couldn't get the breaks the last two hours and bled chips. Won about 9000 in pots with nothing to maintain but need to get favorable flops with my big hands

61k. Nothing too exciting besides being paid off big, doubling up my medium/small stack, with an ace high flush during the bubble.

Oh, and I sat with Scott Fischman for a while. That was cool.

I got 25k. I had a rough start. Went down to 800 when a guy put me all-in on the river (I put him on a rivered flush). I built back up to 2200, got KK all-in vs AQ and lost. That left me with 700. I have built up to 25k several times and gone back down to 10k. I'm hoping htat's not gonna happen again w/ my current 25k stack.

GL everyone.

I dunno. Just that I've played a lot of tourneys with him and he is tough.

Might be an even stronger table here: dblgutshot, S 18, and XX RAGED XX. Wow

Nice run stillbr. Just out of curiousity what did you think he had after his flop bet. It seems to me you have to push preflop or fold after a king flops.

Basicly inexperiance. I should have just pushed preflop probably. My thought was wait to see if an Ace flops, otherwise be willing to get all in. When he pushed the King high flop I was just hoping for TTish type hand. Ohwell. It was a good run though. I did much better than I should have lol.

It's because it's 6-max; final table = final 6, so 7th-12th is final two tables. The big jump makes sense.

Its still pretty gigantic.

The thing I find funny is that xxTHEJOKERxx is playing in the tourney, and also 3 full ring $10-20nl games and 1 HU $10-20nl game.

Do places 1-6 pay the same % of the prize pool here that they would in a tournament with a 9-player final table? Seems like that'd do it.

If there is anything close to a big stack on each table, and that big stack has a clue what he is doing, the final table will probably end up being 2 huge stacks and 4 very relieved short stacks.

So, here's the structure for the top 18 in a full-ring PS tournament with 2001 to 2500 entrants. If there are two dollar amounts then the second is what that place pays today:
1: 21% $98490
2: 12.4% $58156
3: 8% $37520 ($37051)
4: 6.2% $29078 ($28140)
5: 4.8% $22512
6: 3.7% $17353 ($17822)
7: 2.8% $13132 ($5628)
8: 2% $9380 ($5628)
9: 1.3% $6097 ($5628)
10-12: 0.75% $3517 ($5628)
13-18: 0.75% $3517

Spots 1-6 stay the same, spots 7-9 lose about $12K total, and spots 10-12 gain about 6K.

edit - oh yea, the PS tournament payout schedule can be found here.
